Or Mount Mahameru. is the highest mountain on the island of Java, this mountain is also nicknamed the holy mountain peak of the gods. mount Semeru is located in two Lumajang Regencies and Malang District of East Java Province, and this mountain includes me in the area of Mount Bromo National Park Tengger Semeru with a height of Mahameru reaching 3,676 meters above sea level. I will not discuss the history of Mount Semeru, but this time I want to write about my journey to the summit of Mount Mahameru.after registering through the official site of mount Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNGBTS), and registration was declared successful and successful, finally the trip started oh yes you need to know when you want to climb Mount Semeru, you have to prepare everything correctly and follow the rules that apply in the area of Mount Semeru National Park, such as identification letters, health papers, and of course the passport that is still valid, and do not forget the complete climbing equipment, so that your climb is truly safe and comfortable, this is for our safety Mountain climbing.

I arrived at the Senen train station located in Jakarta (Pasar Senen Station) Jakarta, for a trip to Malang East Java Station (Malang Station). Most of the climbers from Indonesia make the poor station as a gathering point to continue the journey to the overlapping village and in the pane, so it is not surprising if at this station we can find climbers from all regions in Indonesia, and can be from various countries.

the distance between the poor city of Jakarta takes around 16 hours, if we use the economy class train, but if we use the business class and executive train, it will definitely be faster to the unfortunate station, but don't worry that train facilities in Indonesia are very good, and very comfortable. and we arrived at Malang station on Tuesday around 8:00 a.m. really this is a very exciting trip.

We arrived at the city train station Malang, we immediately took a break in the city park to just fill the stomach and coffee for a relaxing coffee. while waiting for the public transport car to the overlapping market that we ordered when we were on the road so we stayed just wait. Some of us have hired a Jeef car to go to Ranu Pane, but the Jeep rental car, gives advice to use a public transport car which he used to use to pick up tourists who have booked their jeeps. so that the price is cheaper and the people are trusted .
rental prices for public transport from Malang to the overlapping markets are around 150,000 rupiah (IDR 150k) after the overlapping market we are taken to the base camp to continue our journey to Ranu using the Jeef car, we use Jeef rental services in the Prass Jeep, so we are directly on take it to his base camp, at the base camp we take a break while preparing and checking the completeness for our climb. we are very grateful because besides our group, there are also other climbers' friends who will climb Semeru, so the price of the cars we rent can be cheaper, the trip costs using a jeep around Rp.600,000 (IDR600k) so we can partner with our new friends from Palembang, we are from Bogor city, only 3 people and from Palembang there are 4 people, total passengers, 7 people. Still on Tuesday, began climbing the journey by walking along a very long road and with the various terrain we passed through, one by one we passed the posts and of course each of our posts rested to recover our depleted body. and at 9:00 a.m., we arrived at the lake which is very famous among mountain climbers, namely lake Ranu Kumbolo ... we haven't seen the beautiful man Ranu Kumbolo because we arrived at night, so tomorrow morning we can see the lake of Ranu. the kumbolo.

Especially if you are directly in Ranu Kumbolo, one night we rested and in the morning we continued the climb to the area of death, from Ranu Kumbolo we passed a very phenomenal climb that is the climb of love, in the rise of love circulating a myth among climbers, if you want your dreams to succeed, don't look back when you step up the love climb. That's the myth that circulates, it's up to you to believe or not. But for me the most important lesson is, "we must not see our past and we must keep on stepping up whatever challenges will occur in our lives "even the most talked about myths are about love, if we love someone and we remember it and pray continuously while our feet move without looking back then it will come true.
Wednesday night dead. arrived at Kalimati around 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon we immediately built a tent and cooked food, not forgetting to also make hot coffee drinks to our favorites and steeping mixed ginger milk and brown sugar to warm our cold bodies. the atmosphere at the time of death was so quiet even though there were other climber friends who held tents near our tent, but once the atmosphere still felt very quiet and quiet, it was perfect for people who like silence especially if to meditate, we planned to do the summit of Mahameru / Semeru at 23:00 at night, because our goal is to climb the peak casually, not catch up on time. and this is our first climb to the top of Mahameru.

Peak above the peak. the watch showed at 23.00 a night we rushed to prepare to head to the summit, for a moment we held briefings and prayers before the footsteps stood on. we begged the creator so that we were always in his protection. and it was time for us to swing step by step towards the peak of dreams. not too far we arrived at the Arcopodo, the arcopodo was the last post very close to the sand of the peak mahameru, even the nets were start sandy. the road we traveled was increasingly uphill and continued to climb here we no longer encountered derivatives, the footsteps were getting heavier one, two, three times the foot stepped down then slumped down again, like three times but the result was only one step, continuing and continuing like that.as if this road has no end in front of the eye that there is only a climb again and and again really drains energy and emotions, but this is where it turns out that there is patience that we must use because without patience it will not be possible to reach the peak of success.

and the ideals that we want. almost we gave up on this ascent feet and all members of the body were no longer able to step up, but the determination was so strong that encouraged us to continue to reach the top only the determination capital that we had at that time, counted almost seven hours we walked maybe even more. well that's the struggle we have to face and that has become our risk to realize our dreams.
the summit of Mount Semeru. on Friday at 6:00 a.m. finally we arrived at the top of the island of Java, we could not say the word again there was only a patter of tears soaking our cheeks, we were deeply moved by what we had achieved watching the beautiful viewers on the summit of Mount Semeru with a puff of smoke jongringsaloko, which was bursting out and released its smoke, also the beautiful morning sun that we could not forget for the rest of our lives, indeed it was truly amazing, this very great creation of God, like no where, this very, very long and tiring journey disappeared from memory, the body that felt tired was lost in an instant, this trip was our dream a few years ago and it was at the end of December 20118 that dream could come true.

We prepared to go down the mountain, indeed it has become a regulation from the service of the mountain national park Bromo Tengger Semeru (TNBTS), that the climbers must immediately go down at around 10 am at the latest, because they are worried about the normal Jongringsaloko crater issuing toxic fumes, so for safety, climbers are prohibited from lingering in the peak of Mahameru, descending the Semeru mountain that does not require a long time of only about 30 minutes we have reached the bottom.
different from when we climb, it takes 7 or 8 hours to be able to reach the top of Mahameru, but when it descends it only takes half an hour, this is truly a unique and memorable journey .
Even at the peak of Mahameru we don't last long just a photo and enjoying the beauty of nature makes us amazed and does not stop being grateful that we can step foot on the holy peak, the eternal peak of the gods.
after being satisfied with the climb to the summit, we went back down to the tent that we installed in the Kalimati area, shortly afterwards we immediately proceeded to Ranu Kumbolo.and in Ranu Kumbolo we stayed one more night. so on Friday night we on the lake Ranu Kumbolo returned. and to the next morning we will leave Mount Semeru.
after enjoying the peak of Mahameru, we returned to the tent that we installed in the Kalimati area, just cleared the tent and luggage, we proceeded straight to Ranu Kumbolo. and in Ranu Kumbolo we stayed one more night. so it was our Friday night at Lake Ranu Kumbolo. and to the next morning we will leave Mount Semeru. in Ranu Kumbolo, there are many climbers who will go down and will rise, from various regions in Indonesia, I even found climbers from England, Canada and America.

In the morning we started packing all the items that we brought, we will soon leave Semeru, we will take a trip home while relaxing while enjoying our step by step footsteps which indeed already feel this even though it starts to feel sore, also enjoy every inch of beauty the hiking trail that we passed. looking at ranu kumbolo from a distance and from a distance, it was beautiful and very exotic in the eyes, it seemed reluctant to part from the senses ranu kumbolo and mahameru. but inevitably we have to keep going home, because we are aware that our place is not here (semeru). and in the end we have to give our heart, to part with your mahameru.
